For 10 years I worked as a seasoned, San Francisco-based editor and content manager, working for startups, magazines, and tech companies. Now I'm a third year osteopathic medical student on a path toward internal medicine. It's been a difficult transition from editor to student. The science prerequisites. The move to the East Bay. The strain on my marital relationship. And the endeavor of becoming a student again in my early 30s.
So far the switch to medicine has been worth the hardships. But I still miss my previous life and writing. So I've turned this site into a hybrid of my past editing career and my current medical career. Although somewhat of a hodgepodge of information, isn't that what we're really all about anyway? A tangle of information, ideas, and passions?
